Toddlers
(18
months- 24 months)
We will follow the parent’s written plan for each toddler
enrolled.
Children in the toddler class have fun experiences
participating in large and small groups and individual
activities that encourage development in everything from
fine motor to language skills. They are encouraged to gain
independence as they explore their environment. Children
learn through play and they experience many exciting
activities in language, math, social, and motor skills
development.
· Social interaction- playing and sharing with other children
· Gaining independence- teaching and allowing children to do
things on their own with help if needed
· Learning to explore and experiment, discovering things in
their environment and thinking about how they work
· Learning to deal with emotions and frustration, hitting,
biting, and throwing
· Matching and sorting colors
· Developing fine motor skills-puzzles, blocks
· Understanding quanity-1 block, 2 blocks, etc.
· Exploring their senses- tasting, felling, smelling, hearing
objects in their environment
· Developing language skills- under standing most of the
simple sentences spoken to them and learning to speak in
three to five word sentences and carrying on simple
conversations.
